Assistant Professor in International History (Conflict and Society: Europe c. 1930-c.1950)
Salary is competitive with Departments at our peer institutions worldwide and not less than £51,908 pa inclusive
Applications are invited for an Assistant Professorship in International History from 1 September 2016.
The Department of International History is seeking to make an appointment in Conflict and Society: Europe c. 1930- c. 1950. We are seeking exceptional candidates with outstanding research potential and a developing record of publications in European international or trans-national history during the inter-war period, the Second Word War and its immediate aftermath. We welcome applicants with research interests in any area of the political, social and cultural history of Europe and of its relations with the extra-European world, including the Second World War as a global war, and the role of non-state actors during war. Candidates should have a proven ability to teach at undergraduate level.
