Cocoa Quality Improvement at Conservation International

To work with the company’s technicians and cocoa suppliers to improve market-established fermentation, drying and quality control processes. The goal is to produce cocoa to specification and to educate the technicians, farmers and collectors about techniques to meet the specifications and to assist them in recommendations to meet those specifications during all seasons. The consultant would work in the lower Sambirano Valley, with approximately 180 farmers spread out across Mangabe, Analavory, Tranokararny, Ambodisakoa-Antsatsaka as well as processors/collectors just outside of Ambanja.


Travailler avec les techniciens et fournisseurs do cacao afin d’améliorer la fermentation, séchage, et qualité de contrôle par rapport les pratiques établis par le marché. Le but est de produire le cacao selon les spécifications, et d’éduquer les techniciens, fermiers, et collecteurs au sujet des techniques afin qu’ils puissent les utiliser tous les saisons. Le consultant devra travailler dans la baisse de la vallée de Sambirano, avec environ 180 fermiers dispersés sur le Mangabe, Analavory, Tranokararny, Ambodisakoa-Antsatsaka ainsi que les traiteurs/collecteurs juste à l’extérieur des limites d’Ambanja.
