Director, Institute of Water Policy (Tenure Track /Professor/ Associate Professor Level)

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore), a premier public policy institution in Asia, seeks to appoint a Director for its Institute of Water Policy (IWP). The rank of appointment will be at the professorial or associate professor level.
The IWP aims to be a global center of research excellence providing thought leadership on water policy, water sector management, and best practice in water services. The IWP is located in the LKY School, one of Asia’s leading graduate School’s of public affairs, and supported by grants from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Public Utilities Board (PUB), Singapore and the Singapore Totalisator Board.
Applications are particularly invited from candidates with a background in the following areas:
  1. An expert in water policy and governance with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals;
  2. Experience working in Asia;
  3. Managerial experience, preferably in academic institutions;
  4. Specialization in urban water issues and water utility management.
The successful applicant will be offered an internationally competitive salary, relocation, medical, and travel benefits. International appointees are also eligible for a housing benefit.
Candidates should preferably have a PhD in Public Administration, Public Policy, Organization Science, Management, Political Science or a related discipline; an established record of teaching and research in the area; and an ability to engage with policy and research communities in Asia and around the world.
