About the role
The junior Lawyer will support the work of the Climate & Forests Programme. This will include legal analysis and research across legal frameworks both in Europe and in focus countries in Central and Western Africa. The role will contribute directly to our work on conversion timber and land tenure, as well as our work on the implementation and enforcement of the EU Timber Regulation.
About you
You have solid legal analytical skills as well as familiarity with different systems of law. You will bring a keen interest in forest law and policy and you are adept at analysing different complex legal issues. You are an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively within a team, and able to maintain and support effective working partnerships. You are highly adaptable and able to work independently in diverse settings and on multiple research projects.
