We are approaching Peak Youth. As the new Global Goals come into effect, young people must be the torchbearers of this sustainable development agenda. Across the world, young people share a restless determination to address the problems that affect them the most. That’s where we come in.
At Restless Development, we are a values-led agency proud to carry the banner for youth-led development, demonstrating from the grassroots to the global policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development. We have been repeatedly cited as a model of best practice in youth-led development by the World Bank, the UK Department for International Development (DFID), UNICEF and UNAIDS. 2015 has seen some of our most important work to date, leading:
- The drive to zero in Sierra Leone and the recovery in Nepal;
- Global movements and policy discourses from the Action/2015 International Youth Day that reached 36 million people to a Youth Summit bringing DFID and young people together to a UNGA summit with member states pledging their commitments to young people,
- A Big Conversation reaching 64 countries to inform our next global strategy launching in 2016
As we enter into a new strategy area and continue to grow our impact and influence, we are recruiting for a high-potential leader looking to step up into a new role within our Strategy & Direction team. Working closely with the CEO and COO, this empowered project manager will lead multiple important internal initiatives in 2015 to prepare Restless Development for its next strategy. This manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and a wide range of teams across Restless Development globally to build and ensure the success of the leadership team and these new initiatives.
