Marketing and Data-Mining Fellow

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: 
i-Finance is a licensed Greenfield MFI with a strong capital base and a diverse ownership group that includes Triodos Bank, Incofin, and several private investors based in Africa. It has started operations in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It has a very dynamic and innovative management team, and strong performances. ABOUT THE JOB: 
i-Finance is seeking a Marketing and data-mining Fellow, for 3 months.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Refine implementation of business intelligence software Tableau;
  • Data-mine and identify key trends and causal variables that affect;
    • a)volume of deposit mobilized per area (area can be branch, staff, team, product, etc), and;
    • b)volume and number of transactions, and commission per agent banking point.
  • Refine KPIs to be used for the business, with focus on deposit mobilisation and agent banking;
  • Implement and train 3 reporting staff on data-mining and modify reporting formats. Create documents for training all staff to use reporting formats;
  • Design and create standard reports from system;
  • Review literature about sales and training methods (including video design), for field staff in developing countries;
  • Work with best selling account officers, and document processes and practices with handbooks, process-mapping, PowerPoint, formats, templates, and videos, with focus on deposit mobilisation;
  • Coordinate with training responsible staff to share practices with all field staff;
  • Create innovative marketing communication material, and customer relationship material.
Qualifications:
  • MBA/MA candidate in statistics, economics or relevant field;
  • Experienced BA candidates also encouraged to apply;
  • In-depth knowledge of the following softwares: Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Tableau, one software for video production;
  • Knowledge of French and English;
  • Resources to fund his own travel to DRC, and housing in DRC. Note that a small monthly stipend will be available for the Fellow.
