ABOUT THE JOB:
The Emerging Markets team of Triodos Investment Management manages funds that invest in financial institutions specialised in the provision of microfinance and SME finance in developing countries with a combined volume of EUR 700 million.
Furthermore Triodos Investment Management provides finance to support sustainable food and agricultural production as well as access to sustainable energy.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Be the primary representative of Triodos Investment Management and its mission in the region and an entrepreneurial and catalytic force in establishing our success in the region;
- The regional manager reports to the Head of Investments Emerging Markets;
- Manage a team of Investment Officers and Commercial Assistants;
- Build the capacity of the team to provide value adding finance to clients;
- Lead the development of our regional debt and equity investment strategy and ensure excellent portfolio quality in the region, both in terms of risk management and sustainability development;
- Member of the (regional) investment committee; Depending on span of control, develop and maintain a client portfolio and work on transactions (including client analysis, risk assessments, investment proposals etc.) and serve on the board of investee companies;
- Initiate, maintain and deepen contacts with (potential) clients and other stakeholders such as network partners, development finance institutions, technical assistance providers and support agencies in order to develop new opportunities.
