ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
In addition to the provision of advisory services to banks and non-banks in the MSME finance field, LFS Financial Systems GmbH, together with Access Microfinance Holding AG (Access Holding), has built a network of specialized small business banks (Access Banks) for which it acts as the management company and holds significant ownership. The AccessBank group currently comprises ten member banks in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caucasus and Central Asia, which together employ more than 7,500 staff serving close to 570,000 clients.
ABOUT THE JOB:
We are currently seeking mid and senior expertise in risk management for advising bank and non-bank MSME finance institutions in setting up and/or strengthening existing risk management departments and setting up a comprehensive risk management framework, including all departmental structures, functions and policies. This may include (i) the traditional four risk areas of credit, operations, liquidity and market risks, (ii) governance risks, (iii) environmental risks as well as, (iv) strategic risks (country risk, industry risk, and mission drift risk).
Specific tasks, team structures, deployment locations and other terms and conditions will be determined based on project development and specific skills and qualifications of candidates.
Qualifications:
- At least five years work experience in banking and finance, ideally with focus on MSMEs;
- At least two years of work experience in a leading position of the Risk Management Department of a bank or MSME finance institution;
- Strong analytical, communication and report writing skills (spoken and written);
- Previous consulting or management experience;
- Fluency in Arabic; strong command of English;
- Willingness and ability to work either as long- or short-term expert in selected countries of MENA region;
- Good command of French is an advantage.
