Organization Profile
Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an International Non-Governmental Organization that is based in France. Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization dedicated to alleviate the suffering of the poorest population around the world. SIF intervenes wherever humanitarian and social needs require mobilization of emergency relief and/or implementation of development programs. Today, SIF operates in around 20 countries and has been providing assistance to the most vulnerable for 20 years without discrimination as to culture, ethnicity, religion or sex.
Line Management:
· Reports to Head of Mission (HofM)
· Coordinates with Regional Administrator/Program Staff/Field Coordinator in Somalia
· Liaises with HQ Emergency Desk Logistician.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage all Logistics operations for Kenya (purchasing/contract management/program support)
· Provide guidance to SIF/Somalia Logistics Officer
· Manage all Logistics documentations for Kenya/Somalia Mission
· Supervise part-time Logistics Assistant in Kenya
· Ensure full compliance with SIF Logistics rules/regulations
· Ensure full compliance with government of Kenya rules/regulations
· Ensure full compliance with donor rules/regulations
· Provide regular updates/reports to HofM on all Logistics activities
· Manage IT operations for the Kenya/Somalia Mission
· Other duties as assigned by HoM
Personal Profile:
· Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management preferred
· Comprehensive training in logistics procedures/systems will be considered
- Five (5) years directly experience within the I/NGO humanitarian environment preferred
- Strong negotiation and networking skills is a pre-requisite
- Demonstrated presentation and problem solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Team player and willingness to learn
- Excellent written/spoken English skills essential
