Senior ICT Assistant (Programmer) GS-7 level
BACKGROUNDThe Operational Analysis and Technology Centre (OATC) provide ICT services for Supply Division (SD) to support UNICEF global supply chain operations. The services portfolio include systems analysis, business process analysis, material master data administration, VISION user roles oversight, and infrastructure & customer support (helpdesk) services and solutions development. ICT services are delivered via four units. They are HelpDesk, Infrastructure, Business Process and Systems Development.
This position is placed in the Systems Development Unit within the Operational Analysis & Technology Center (OATC).
PURPOSE OF POST:Under the general guidance of the Systems Analyst, the Senior ICT Assistant develops, maintains, tests and implements reports, SAP scripts and utilities using ABAP and related development tools in UNICEF ERP system namely VISION.
This position will also be providing user support for Supply Logistics modules and Supply CRM system under VISION primarily for Copenhagen and on an as needed basis for UNICEF field offices globally. This includes first and second level functional support to users, development of reports, communicating user related issues & resolutions to VISION focal point in New York.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:•Provide support to VISION business users in coordination with supply division centres and ICTD NY and ICT officers in field offices on as needed basis.•Assists the Systems Analyst through the software development activities related to Supply chain processes.•Provide additional backup support on an as needed basis in the area of supply CRM web catalogue. •Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills in relevant areas related to supply chain processes, given the adequate training and tools.•Defines, develops and implements, reports and document printouts using ERP programming tools to meet the business requirements of Supply Division. •Participates in testing bug fixes and newly developed functions in UNICEF ERP and CRM systems.•Provides training to SD users on existing and new functionality in VISION•Coordinates training materials and other technical documentation on the systems functionality. •Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or centre Chief.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
•Valid working permit and residency in Denmark•Completion of secondary education supplemented with certification in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. •7 years of experience in providing ERP user, system, application support in a large organization, including minimum 2 years of professional experience in requirements gathering, design, develop and implementation of reports, document printouts and utilities using ABAP and related development tools. •Experience in developing and documenting system level test cases relating to business processes for unit and integration testing.•Strong knowledge of SD, MM modules of the SAP system •Excellent skills in ABAP programming are required. •Knowledge of E-Business concepts and ability to correlate with various E-Business technologies.•Fluency in English.
Desired: •Experience in SAP Adobe Forms development.•Experience with Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence tools.•Understanding of JAVA concepts.•Knowledge of supply chain applications.•Working knowledge of another UN language.
