MENA Programme Assistant (m/f)

A full-time position (40hrs/week) based in Berlin, Germany, starting as soon as possible
Main tasks:
  • Provide logistical support for project and programme activities (workshops, conferences, travel planning)
  • Ensure proper documentation and knowledge management, including contribution to BF website (MENA pages)
  • Translation and editing of programme documents
  • Support financial department with activity related financial planning, budgeting, and financial documentation
  • Support programme development, thematic background research and perform additional tasks upon request of the Programme Director or respective (Senior) Project Managers
Qualifications:
  • BA in relevant field; background in the MENA region and/or in the field of conflict transformation and political science is an asset
  • A minimum of one to three years’ work experience in project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic, English and German
  • Experience in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Politically sensitive and empathetic to partners and target groups
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
