The Bank Activities Coordinator provides support for GEHC Algeria and French Speaking Africa (FSA) sub-regions on the following:
• Support GEHC team on all aspects related to trade finance (letters of credit issuance and confirmation, bonds issuance, drafts discounting),
• Manage the switch from Letters of credit (LCs) to Documentary remittances for Intercompany deal in Algeria deals
• Handle the letter of credit, the Documentary remittances & SBLCs (strong follow up is needed to avoid is discrepancies in the documents and delays in payments)
• Handle the bonds issuance and ensure the follow up with local banks
• Follow up the bank's checks issuance & payments with GoF Team and banks
• Handle the daily relationships with the banks (LCs issuance, modifications, payments, bank's checks issuance, Doc remittance, bonds issuance…)
• Support GE's businesses on all aspects related to banking regulations in Algeria and FSA, by informing and advising as necessary
• Improve the back to back leasing process and ensure its follow up (on documentation aspect & payments of the promissory notes)
• Ensure the follow up with S&PF team on the customers' financing
• Fluent French, English and Arabic
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance or Banking
• Approx. 5 yrs. experience of banking, financial service, especially on trade finance
• Solid domain expertise in trade finance, commercial lending & leasing.
• Excellent problem solving skills / analytical thinker; results oriented & able to work under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to function effectively in a matrix environment
• Strong interpersonal & communications skills
• Strong influencing skills, able to build good customer/partner relationships
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
• Experience in trade finance department (Bank back office)
• Dynamic & sense of the responsibility
