Subject Matter Expert – Financial Services

Job Purpose To be the point of contact and industry expert in Financial Services; specifically Network & Issuer knowledge around cobrand credit cards and emerging mobile wallet trends and products. To attend and speak at conferences on the Industry best practice and new innovation or thinking in that area. This is in order to keep GLC propositions and strategy aligned to industry thinking as well as network with Partners in this area. To provide the ‘hunters’ and ‘farmers’ with a point of contact so that their content, offer designs and analysis is relevant. Responsibilities   Design and implement an acquisition strategy for Industry of focus and support the business development teams with industry expertise internally and with prospect presentations Assist with the creation of relevant industry specific program economic models and partner ROI models; including relevant success metrics around cobrand cards and other FI products Assist the partner development and client service representatives in the programs to develop offer designs and campaigns to drive key business results from the FI partners Be the definitive internal knowledge source for FI represent the organization at industry specific events (including public speaking) Assist Global accounts with the hunting, closing and supporting of global Network relationships (example: VISA, MC, AMEX etc) Requirements Qualification & Education: Masters, University degree or equivalent Diploma qualification is required, or optionally a recognised professional Airline industry Management or Computer Science qualification. Experience: 10 plus years’ work experience in financial services; preferably with a Network and with some additional experience from an Issuer perspective. Co-Brand card development, marketing and measurement an asset. Experience in liaising with internal/external clients, Partnership Management Marketing Communications experience in a services background would be ideal but not essential Experience in strategy and execution would be ideal but not essential Proven track record in successful partnership acquisition and its management thereof Training & Knowledge: Strong Application knowledge and understanding of business requirements Financial apptitude Planning and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
