The Manoff Group, Inc. is recruiting a Maternal and Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Counseling and Interpersonal Communication (IPC) Advisor for a broad-ranging maternal and child nutrition program to be based in Dar es Salaam and implemented in 5 regions of Tanzania. This position is contingent on program award.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and execute program activities supporting the delivery of MIYCN counseling services at different points of contact, including health facilities, homes, and communities.
· Develop and execute programming supporting group activities that address nutrition-related actions primarily at the community level conducted by multiple sectors, ex. health, agriculture, social welfare.
· Provide technical leadership and substantive contributions to the development of various technical work products, including formative research on maternal nutrition and IYCF practices, training modules for MIYCN service providers, MIYCN counseling and IPC materials.
· Provide guidance on monitoring and supervision of counseling and IPC activities to ensure quality execution.
· Develop and coordinate MIYCN counseling and IPC strategies with the broader project activities and work plans.
· Prepare reports on progress in implementation of the MIYCN counseling and IPC activities.
· Serve as an occasional lead trainer and/or supervisor of training workshops.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· Demonstrated senior-level expertise and program experience in the professional areas of counseling and interpersonal communication.
· Strong background in maternal nutrition and infant and young child feeding.
· Good familiarity with Tanzania’s nutrition landscape and the National Nutrition Program.
· Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing or Home Economics or related field.
· Willingness to travel and work in rural conditions outside of Dar es Salaam.
· Strong written and spoken Swahili, with good written and spoken English.
· This position is open to international and Tanzania-based candidates. Tanzanian nationals and residents of Tanzanian who have ongoing legal authorization to work in Tanzania are preferred.
