We are looking for experienced Emergency Response Managers to join our emergency roster who can be deployed either immediately or over the course of the coming months to lead and manage the Emergency Response Teams and associated emergency. You will be responsible for the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s emergency response and you will be a leader of the Emergency Response Team, responsible and accountable for developing, coordinating and managing all emergency programming and associated support activities.
Further you will be expected to provide strategic leadership in all areas of emergency programming and strengthen the country office’s overall capacity to respond to the emergency in accordance with accepted principles and practices, as well as strategically integrate emergency programming within the overall program approach.
· A strong leader, with the ability to make effective decisions quickly, you will be an experienced humanitarian professional with a demonstrable track record leading and managing emergency responses. You will have extensive knowledge of the sector, applicable standards and donors in emergency.
· Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local partners, government officials, donor representatives, and international staff.
· Proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and ability to build and motivate diverse teams
· Excellent English oral and written communication skills, knowledge of a second language would be advantageous
