Chemonics seeks a component leader for an anticipated USAID-funded entrepreneurship and enterprise development project in Egypt. The project aims to increase competitiveness of Egyptian micro, small, and medium-size enterprises and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on women and youth. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead activities in enhancing entrepreneurship skills and opportunities, especially stimulating entrepreneurship among women and youth
- Improve availability and accessibility of entrepreneurship services, with focus on business incubators
Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred or bachelor's degree with equivalent years of experience in business, management, entrepreneurship, or relevant field preferred
- Relevant technical experience in entrepreneurship or entrepreneurship programs, specifically in Egypt
- Technical expertise in entrepreneurship, provision of services and training, establishing local centers, corporate social responsibility, startups, and business incubators
- Capacity to identify appropriate stakeholders
- Ability to interact with the public and private sector
- Experience on a donor-funded project preferred
- Ability to work and travel in remote areas of Egypt to oversee program implementation and provide technical expertise
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
