1. PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least a PhD in Electrical Machines and Power Systems. • Must already be Professor/Associate Professor at a recognized university • Extensive refereed research publications
Duties:
1. To teach undergraduate courses in Electrical Machines and Power Systems, Power Electronics, and related areas.
2. Carry out research.
3. Provide academic and administrative guidance to the department.
4. Develop and maintain links with industry

2. SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN COMMUNICATIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least an MSc in Electronics or related area • University teaching experience at Senior Lecturer Level for appointment as Senior Lecturer.
Duties:
1. Teach undergraduate courses in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Programming Techniques and related areas 2. Carry out research and development work in his/her discipline.

3. SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least an MSc in Electronics or related area. • University teaching experience at Senior Lecturer Level for appointment as Senior Lecturer.
Duties:
1. Teach undergraduate courses in Electronics, Microcontrollers and related areas
2. Carry out research and development work in his/her discipline

4. PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN ELECTRICAL MACHINES AND (OR) POWER ENGINEERING IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Qualifications and Experience:
• At least an MSc. in a relevant area. • PhD plus University teaching experience for appointment at Senior Lecturer level, or above. • Must already be Professor/Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer at a recognized university for appointment as Professor/Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer
Duties:
1. To teach undergraduate courses in Electrical Machines, Power Systems and related areas.
2. Carry out research and development work in his or her discipline.

5. PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND PLANNING
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Ph.D. in Physical Geography or Environmental Science • Specialization in Geomorphology or Geography
Duties:
1. Teach courses to both undergraduate and graduate students
2. To supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
3. Carry out research in the discipline.
4. Provide research and academic leadership in the department.

6. PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Ph.D. or M.Phil./M.A. in English Language Studies and Linguistics/ General Linguistics or General Linguistics with a major in English or Applied Language Studies.
Duties:
1. If Professor/Associate professor, be able to teach most of the Language courses, such as
 Principles of Psycholinguistics
 Principles of Sociolinguistics
 Conversational Analysis
 Composition, Writing & Stylistics
 Language Meaning & Use, etc.
2. Supervise students ‘ research projects
3. Write /edit Institute of Distance Education modules
4. Provide academic leadership at department level
5. If Senior Lecturer/Lecturer:
 Be able to teach at least a third of the 12 courses offered by the Language Section.
 Supervise projects, write modules.

7. PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS AND DEMOGRAPHY
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Ph.D. in (Computational) Statistics. • Minimum 5 years University teaching experience.
Duties:
1. To teach undergraduate courses in Statistics
2. To participate in the development and review of undergraduate curriculum.
3. To supervise students’ projects and conduct research

8. LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS AND DEMOGRAPHY
Qualifications and Experience:
• MA/ Ph.D. in Demography or Population Studies.

1. To teach undergraduate courses in Demography.

5. To supervise students’ projects and conduct research
