Scope of Work:
We are recruiting an intern to work remotely from their own location, on an unpaid / voluntary basis. The intern will support the programme management functions of the organisation, including providing support to ongoing projects and assisting in identifying and preparation of proposals for new opportunities.
Specifically, the intern will:
- Provide technical support to ongoing projects, including researching thematic issues, support to the development of training programmes, contributions to donor reports, etc.
- Provide operational support to projects, including administrative tasks.
- Provide assistance in identifying potential new project opportunities and contribute to the preparation of proposals.
- Assist in the management of our panel of expert consultants.
- Contribute to knowledge management, including identifying relevant new publications, reports and best practices; producing key note summaries on selected topics, identifying and tracking global conferences on relevant issues etc.
- Assist with the management of our social media presence.There is a minimum internship commitment of 3 months, to enable the internship arrangement to be constructive. We support a flexible workplace and it may be possible to negotiate a part-time working arrangement for a strong applicant who is unavailable full-time.
The intern will work from their own location, and will provide their own computer and internet service, with MS Office and Skype installed.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience or interest in a topic related to our programmatic focus areas (access to justice and human rights, good governance, and / or land and environment).
- University qualification in a related field (eg international development, law, social sciences, gender etc). A post-graduate qualification is preferred, but is not essential.
- Highly organised, able to manage competing tasks and reliable in completing tasks on time and to a high standard of quality.
- Strong English language communication and writing skills, including sound computer skills (ie, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Desirable: Fluency in Spanish, French or Arabic would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
