The purpose of the Call for Expression of Interest is to solicit interest from existing or prospective partners that wish to participate in a UNHCR operation and contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, funds, in-kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in a Project Partnership Agreement.
Project title and identification: Health Information Systems for public health, nutrition and WASH programmes.
Brief background of the project:
Standardised and well integrated information management systems are integral to identifying health problems and implementing effective public health solutions. UNHCR and its partners require a strong capacity to enhance the quality, comparability and consistency of health, nutrition and WASH information to better protect refugee health. UNHCR has therefore developed the TWINE system that holds a comprehensive set of health, nutrition and WASH information. http://twine.unhcr.org/app/.
The Twine database application system is currently hosted by UNHCR and supported by an external partner. UNHCR is looking for a partner to 1) review the application 2) develop/design/improve/redesign the application to be in line with the industry best practices and 3) support current maintenance of Twine on a need basis. The partner should be able to provide operating systems support and will carry out further enhancements/development/redevelopment and innovation on the application. Twine is a UNHCR propriety system.
Please refer to the attached document for expression of interest. Please note that this is for non-profit/non-governmental partners.
