Chief of Party -- Southern Africa

Abt Associates seeks a Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID-funded Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A successful record leading contracts of similar size ($75M+) and complexity;
  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably some of which in the SADC region, in international trade policy and skills in at least one contract technical area (i.e., trade facilitation, agricultural development, business enabling environment reforms);
  • Demonstrated ability to establish productive relationships with senior government officials, the business community, civil society, and international donors; excellent written and oral communication skills; and
  • A graduate degree in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, or law.
