Private Sector Development Advisor (SPC level)

Restless Development is the leading youth-led development agency. We have been working in Tanzania since 1993 and have established an impressive track record in delivering grassroots impact through youth led development programmes aligned to the Government of Tanzania’s poverty reduction plans and Millennium Development Goals. Capitalizing on the launch of a new brand in July 2010 and the launch of a new 5-year national strategy (2011 – 2015), Restless Development is taking up a position as the banner carrier for youth-led development – demonstrating at the grassroots and policy levels that young people can and must play a lead role in development. Since Restless Development was established the impact of our programmes has continued raising our visibility with many stakeholders ranging from government, bi and multi-lateral donors and private sector partners.
We are seeking a dynamic and business development oriented individual to lead the development and implementation of a new private sector strategy, mapping out opportunities and cultivating relationships with corporate partners to develop partnerships with the private sector which will offer added value to our mutual results, as well as harness income and new growth opportunities for the organisation. The post holder will work closely with relevant staff delivering the livelihoods, enterprise and employment programme to identify innovative ways to work with the private sector that foster local leadership, economic growth and promote meaningful engagement of young people in our growth strategies. The individual with have experience in working in the private sector or within a social enterprise, will be a brilliant networker and have demonstrated success in winning and delivering strategic partnerships. The individual will have experience or a good understanding of skills profiling, income generation and enterprise development models which are grounded in evidence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a young professional with a background in the private sector or experience of delivering business oriented livelihoods and income generation programmes, and looking to apply their experience and skills within an innovative and growing national organisation.
