Technical experts

Chemonics seeks technical experts for an anticipated USAID three-year primary grade reading education program in Morocco. The program, to be based in Rabat and scheduled to begin in late spring/early summer 2015, will jump-start curricular reform in primary schools and test the effectiveness of activities that aim to improve reading skills in the early grades. It will work in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to test the effectiveness of supplemental reading lessons, and test how summer reading enrichment programs may reduce learning loss between school years. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.​

Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in education, or bachelor's degree and experience in similar types of programs 
  • Minimum eight years of relevant technical experience with projects supporting teacher training, teacher professional development, or education system strengthening 
  • Experience in collaboration with government and ministry counterparts and in local capacity development 
  • Experience in developing training programs to train and coach teachers in primary levels 
  • Experience with USAID-funded programs preferred 
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Excellent English skills required; Arabic and/or French skills preferred
