The EIB, the European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for its FinanceDirectorate (FI) – Planning and Settlement of Operations Department (PRO) – Back-Office Loans and Operational Lending Support Division, Loan Servicing Unit, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a: 
Transaction Processing & Management Analyst
This is a temporary replacement assignment of 1 year
Purpose
The Analyst contributes to the activities of the EIB’s Loan Servicing unit, providing effective transaction processing support, enabling the fulfilment of the Bank’s commitments in a timely and accurate manner, thereby ensuring the EIB’s objectives are achieved. Provide input in the elaboration of the division and department strategy and policy development for transaction processing in order to ensure that the policies reflect practical operational needs and comply with risk management. Particular emphasis on reflows for the Bank’s loan books and equity and equity type transactions. 
Accountabilities
  • Execute transaction processing and management processes: allocate incoming funds; manage equity and variable remunerations; manage late payment penalties, handle payment advices and miscellaneous
  • Validate the input done by operational assistance within all areas of the Loan Servicing business (allocations, equity transactions, etc).
  • Support the  implementation of transaction processing policies - provide analysis and support related to issues raised in the course of business and the use of the back-office application
  • Support delivery in specific special projects relating to transaction processing and management and the web portal 
Qualifications
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, and, ideally, in IT or Information Systems.
  • At least 3 years relevant professional experience gained in a financial institution, in an operational (lending) or related transaction management restructuring function or in middle office/back office.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of loan products and related documentation
  • Very good IT literacy (Excel, Business Object; Data Base; knowledge of CLM is a distinct advantage)
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French (*) and good command of the other.  Knowledge of other EU languages would be an asset.

(*) There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in French. If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of French and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank's working languages
