Program Assistant, Ethiopia

The Program Assistant plays an important role in the smooth running of the GAIN Ethiopia office by providing day to day support to the Country Manager and by overseeing the procurement and logistics, office management and facilitates of the country office.
The Program Assistant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAIN policies and procedures, and provide day-to-day administrative assistance. Part of his/her responsibilities will include the organization of calls, meetings and events, preparation of presentations as well as drafting reports, contracts and other administrative documents. The Program Assistant will also provide financial and office management support, including the preparation of payments and expenses, the smooth management of day-to-day facilities and IT equipment, as well as the management of procurement and delivery of goods.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in business administration, development studies, public health related studies or relevant subject, and will have solid experience in an administrative and office management role, preferably in an international NGO. In addition, the ideal candidate will be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills. He/she will demonstrate ability to prioritize and resistance to stress. He/she will have an excellent working knowledge of the entire MS Office package along with good general IT skills.
