Who we are
We're Population Services International (PSI), the world's leading non-profit social marketing organization. We work to make it easier for people in the developing world to be healthy by providing access to products and services that range from mosquito nets to HIV testing.
There are over 9,000 “PSI'ers” around the world. It's a diverse group of entrepreneurs and professionals with an unusually wide range of backgrounds - from the medical industry to the music business - all with unique skills we bring to the job.
Join us
The WCA region is a vast and diverse region. It includes some of PSI's largest programs (Nigeria, DRC) as well as some of its smallest (CAR, Burundi); some of its most long-standing platforms (Guinea, Haiti) as well as some of PSI's most recently established platforms (Liberia). The countries within the WCA region suffer from many of the same health problems plaguing so many countries in sub-Saharan Africa: high infant mortality, low contraceptive prevalence rates, limited access to sanitation and safe water, and endemic malaria, with all countries in the region confronting either concentrated or generalized HIV epidemics.
We are looking for a Program Assistant (PA) to support program management functions in the West and Central Africa (WCA) department. The PA will have wide-ranging responsibilities and work with PSI staff at all levels both in Washington and overseas. You will be responsible for providing finance and programmatic administrative support to the staff of the WCA region, ensuring smooth and timely flow of work. The position requires flexibility and willingness to assume varied duties and projects with an emphasis on finance and programmatic administrative tasks, but with room for growth as WCA is committed to finding and retaining talented staff.
