PSYCHIATRISTS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS

by Unknown  |  at  3:57 AM

For more than 30 years, Médecins du Monde, a campaigning medical organisation committed to international solidarity, has been caring for the most vulnerable populations at home and abroad. It has continued to highlight obstacles that exist in accessing health care and has secured sustainable improvements in health-for-all policies. Those working for this independent organisation do not solely dispense care and treatment but condemn violations of human dignity and rights and fight to improve matters for populations living in precarious situations. MdM currently works in 41 countries across all continents where it focuses on 4 priority areas: caring for the health of migrants and displaced persons, promoting sexual and reproductive health, combating HIV and reducing the harm and risks associated with drug use, crises and conflicts.
Médecins du Monde grants particular attention to the follow-up of its actors (France and international), and especially expatriates returning from the field who are directed to our network of psychologists and psychiatrists who provide support.
Today, in order to better answer the issues met by our actors:
· We are looking for psychologists and psychiatrists based in France and across Europe, available to receive employees, volunteers and paid volunteers for short follow-up care
· We are also seeking to develop a pool of experienced psychologists or psychiatrists available for short debriefing missions during emergencies or crisis in France and internationally.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Masters degree in psychology or Doctor in Psychiatry.
Experienced in debriefing (individual and group)
Private practice (daily consultations and availability for emergencies)
Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and how a humanitarian mission works
Knowledge of the associative sector
Bilingualism is an asset (English / French or English / Spanish)

HOW TO APPLY:
Please, send your resume and application letter to clara.bigel[@]medecinsdumonde.net
Telephone applications will not be accepted
MdM stands up for the integration of people living with disabilities and fights against discrimination
