MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and ensure quality and timeliness of the third round of the LEAP Evaluation as well as the LEAP 1000 baseline and qualitative mid-line.
- Support and manage the research program on social protection and cash transfer and coordinate the production and dissemination of the research produced
- Coordinate the support to the GoG on the a) ongoing implementation of the LEAP Monitoring System; b) design and implementation of M&E system for the social protection sector
- Produce high standard technical research and working papers as well as more accessible material (e.g fact sheets and briefs) on selected topics based on primary data collected under the LEAP fieldwork and other secondary data
- Act as liaison with national and international research centers to identify opportunities on new emerging research and knowledge priorities on social protection, child poverty and cash transfer
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Advanced University degree in economics, statistics or other social and human sciences. Statistical academic knowledge required.
Work Experience
Professional work experience in quantitative evaluations, research implementation, and monitoring & evaluation activities as follows:
- Minimum of Five years of relevant professional work/academic experience in research, research management, monitoring systems implementation, social protection. Developing country work experience is required.
- Experience in data analysis and statistical methods is highly desirable
- Knowledge of statistical packages (e.g. STATA, SPSS, R) highly desirable
- Experience in writing academic and working papers on social protection, health nutrition, education is required. Publications in peer reviewed journal or databases are an asset.
- Knowledge and experience in social protection, social policy evaluation and research are an asset
