WaterAid Sierra Leone is looking for a self-motivated Finance Manager to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
It’s hard to believe that today over 663 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and over 2.4 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute
Working within the WaterAid Sierra Leone Team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Finance Systems: Develop and implement financial management system financial information systems that ensure data is accurate, complete and secure. Ensure all appropriate persons are able to use the organisational accounting systems.
- Cash flow Management: Develop systems to ensure funds are always available for WaterAid programme and partner activities and that cash is secure.
- Budgeting/Budgetary Control: Co-ordinate the annual and multi-year planning process and support all budget holders to complete their budgets. Ensure all financial plans are accurately upload onto the finance system within the timeframe as well as revise as necessary. Provide budgets for proposals to external donors. Design and produce regular budget reports for budget holders.
- Reporting: complete the monthly financial reporting process, submit all checklists and supporting documents to the UK International Finance Team.
To be successful, you will need to have:
- A relevant academic and professional qualification in Finance and Accounting.
- A proven experience in accountancy in an International Development Organisation.
