Specific tasks and responsibilities of the assignee are outlined below (estimated duration of assignment 6-9 months)
- Review the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework of the national Nutrition Strategy (NNS) and identify a minimum set of indicators to be tracked and reported by each sector against agreed upon core nutrition actions to be scaled up. Facilitate technical discussions with partners on minimum set of indicators and support consensus reaching;
- Identify data sources to report against minimum set of indicators; conduct an overview of data sources and existing information systems of relevance to nutrition and identify their capacity to track selected nutrition indicators;
- Get familiarized with the web-based stakeholder and action mapping tool (SUN PMT). Assess the feasibility to use the web-based SUN PMT as a data source to map and track indicators related to stakeholder and nutrition actions to establish who is doing what where and coverage of nutrition actions.
- Conduct a Stakeholder and Action mapping using the SUN PMT, possibly with web-based version if confirmed as valid data source, otherwise in its Excel version;
- In collaboration with an IT expert, refine, possibly integrate web-based SUN PMT if confirmed to be included, and ensure functioning of online Food and Nutrition Security Information System including analytical dashboards to track multi-sectoral implementation of the NNS at all levels; pilot in 4 districts for eventual roll-out;
- Support analysis and compilation of reports from M&E data and disseminate to all stakeholders (Provincial, district and ward levels);
- Perform other related duties, as required.
