Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated five year decentralization and local administration reform project in Egypt. The project aims to improve the effectiveness, transparency, and accountability of local government to respond to citizen priorities. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct implementation of the project's strategic vision
- Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction
- Supervise technical and administrative staff
- Serve as the primary liaison with USAID and local and international partners
- Ensure project assistance is technically sound and appropriate
- Oversee performance management and strategic communications
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of recent experience (within the last 15 years) supporting decentralization efforts, including planning, public administration, economics, or political science
- Minimum seven years of management experience
- Proven orientation toward quantitative results and the ability to bring staff together cohesively
- Excellent interpersonal, management, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Excellent English skills; Arabic language ability desirable but not required
