The role: This is a unique role providing administrative support to the Leverhulme Trust-funded International Network Grant ‘Design Futures in Sub-Saharan Africa: an international network investigating new design typologies emerging from the African continent, their sites of production and the means by which they can be communicated and displayed within Africa and in Europe’. The Network will be based at London College of Fashion, in close collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, and will bring together scholars and practitioners at a series of workshops and symposia in London, Accra, Nairobi and Cape Town. The post holder will provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator and Network Partners, and ensure the Network achieves its aims and objectives in a timely manner. They will play a major role in the organising of all Network events, updating the website and managing outputs, reports and publications.  

Your profile: 
You will be qualified to undergraduate degree level and have experience of working in an administrative role in higher education, preferably supporting research. The role demands excellent budget, event management, communication and organisational skills, and experience of working with international organisations. The post holder will preferably have experience of using web-based content management systems, be fluent in French and have an interest in African Studies and/or Design.
