About Your Job:
This role is mainly about maximising and ensuring the commercial success of the airline under the leadership of the Country Manager, as well as surpassing the allocated targets while protecting existing business and exploiting new opportunities.
You will be responsible of direct and control of all marketing activities of the district and penetrate the local market to secure new sources of revenue. You will liaise with Head office commercial and planning staff to identify, review and recommend changes to tarrifs /revenue reports and recommend and implement changes to existing changes plans and operating budgets as per station requirement. You will ensure Qatar Airways participation in sales campaigns and public events, collecting sales leads for dissemination to concerned departments and stations. You will be responsible in development of value added products for implementation in the local market in order to further optimise and enhance revenue. Preparation of weekly, monthly and annual sales reports and constant monitoring of market trends and competitor activities in order to ensure that head office is kept well informed of local condition. Make suitable recommendations where appropriate.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need a Bachelors degree as a minimum and a tertiary accreditation in Marketing and Sales would be an advantage. You will have a minimum of 7 years previous Sales experience besides excellent knowledge of the South African market, airline experience is highly desirable. You need to demonstrate proven knowledge of GDS system, ticketing and selling experience within a pressurised target driven environment. You will possess fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
Strong interaction with trade partners and corporate clients, and building long term relationships with key individuals and organisations within the industry, corporations and related organisations is essential.Additionally you must be a confident and enthusiastic communicator, have strong administrative, organisation and managerial skills.
