People and Culture Director- World Vision Mauritania

The People and Culture Director- World Vision Mauritaniawill support the strategic direction of World Vision Mauritania (WVMRT) through formulation/development and implementation Human Resources (HR) strategic policies, procedures, systems, and programs ensuring that HR standards & organisational culture apply to WV partnership HR standards and Mauritania law.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Advise the Senior Leadership Team and the National Director on all strategic HR and legal issues and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement an HR strategy for WVMRT which is in line with the organisation’s goals and objectives.
  • Design, develop and review HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Coordinate manpower plans, forecasts, recruitment and orientation of both new/ old staff.
  • Manage staff grievance and discipline handling, staff counselling and terminations.
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
  • Minimum Qualification required: Master’s in human resources management, law, or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years in HR managerial position.
  • Working knowledge of programs/projects cycle management.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all staff and other key partners.
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership and team building.
  • Working knowledge of proposal writing and negotiation skills.
