Base Manager - Field Support Services - Sudan

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with proven budget/grants management and people management experience to join our operational programme in Darfur.
The successful candidate will report to the Area Coordinator and be responsible for overseeing the management of HR, logistics and finance functions of a project area site. The post also holds specific line management responsibilities for project support staff including the Finance Officer, Logistics Officer and HR Officer. The successful post holder will also be responsible for capacity building, compliance, institutional learning, assisting with proposal writing, monitoring and evaluation; and supporting the Project Managers in donor contract management.
The successful candidate will have strong representation, analytical and problem solving skills, preferably with a strong financial background, as well as proven experience of HR and/or logistics. Experience of team management in relief environments is essential, as well as experience operating in insecure environments. Certified accountants preferred. Knowledge of relief and recovery programming would be advantageous
Applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs. All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
The role will be initially based from Tearfund's hub in Nairobi until a visa for Sudan is obtained.
