NUTRITION AND HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER - FLYING

We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER - FLYING
Context: The overall mission of this position is to perform successively short support missions or "gap filling" in different countries.
The variety of situations requires a minimum of theoretical and practical experience in WASH with ACF and/or other NGOs. It also represents an opportunity to work in different contexts and to rapidly acquire new experiences and professional skills
Country:VARIOUS LOCATIONS (All ACF France Missions)
Length of Contract:12 Months starting as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and supervise activities in the framework of nutritional projects:Management of the project cycle in nutrition and health, Meeting the objectives of ACF in the centres dealing with malnutrition, the quality of the programme for which he/she is responsible…
  • Organise staff development programmes for the ACF teams:Evaluation of the technical skill level of the ACF teams, Identification of training needs, Skills development for ACF staff in his/her programme, Ensuring the quality and pertinence of training programmes established for the ACF teams…
  • Train and manage the programme team:The twice yearly assessment of the skills and performance of the ACF teams in his/her programme, The management of his/her teams (leadership, monitoring, motivation....)…
  • Develop and direct operations: Proposing a strategy for addressing the problem of malnutrition which is adapted to the local context, Timely and high quality implementation of planned activities within his/her programme and alerting the Field Coordinator to any delays or excessive or under-use of resources, Timely and high quality reporting, both internal and external, of the activities of his/her programme, together with a critical analysis, Identifying and proposing the development of new programmes, Writing the nutritional and medical sections of proposals for new activities in his/her zone…
  • Represent ACF and develop local partnerships:The professional standing of ACF in his/her geographical area, the distribution to partners of information collected locally, Respect for the principles and values of ACF in its relations with partners, The quality of relations with partners…
Qualification and previous experience:You hold a Nurse, Nutritionist or Public Health Nutritionist degree, with previous experiences in nutritionist position and at least one proven CMAM project management experience, in expatriation.
You have demonstrated strong knowledge of the project cycle management and good reporting skills. You have a proven experience in monitoring, data collection and analysis, especially in nutrition survey.
A first experience with ACF will be a plus.
Written and spoken professional English compulsory.
Status:
Gross monthly salary ranging from €1750 to €2100
Job content varies from intervention situations (3 months of assignment maximum)
Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective accommodation and medical insurance
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris (1 to 2 weeks)
