BACKGROUND ON THE PROJECT
For this requirement CTG Global is required to provide Foreign Medical Teams (FMT) in support of our clients efforts to control EVD via Sierra Leone Community Care Centres. Staff will be required to provide clinical management functions within Community Care Centres across Sierra Leone.
EVD transmission remains intense in Sierra Leone, there is therefore a continued need for support and response to Ebola outbreaks. Community Care Centres will be embedded in communities and fulfil a central role, enabling patients to present and be tested before transferring to Treatment Units following a positive result. The level of care offered inside the Community Care Centres, while basic, will encourage families to bring loved ones forward for isolation.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
· Effective and efficient use of committed resources to projects ensuring complete budget depletion.
· Ensuring effective implementation and management ensuring that all activities are conducted and creatively synchronized and adapted with strong focus on increasing the impact and achieving results.
· Responsible for all water, hygiene and sanitation issues linked to the outbreak intervention.
· Confirm uniform practice of planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation, improving progress monitoring, in line with SNV’s Monitoring for Results (MfR) framework.
· Establish a quality assurance for ensuring that the management of the water, sanitation, hygiene, and waste activities are organized so that staff, patients, and the environment inside and outside are not exposed to VHF contaminated material
· Accountable for achievement of set knowledge deliverables and quality standards for country
· programme.
· Spearhead and coordinate the initiatives with BDCs and regional/corporate developments.
· Business development; in close coordination with PC and SL, develop concrete proposals for resource mobilization and partnerships to secure resources.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Education
· Qualification in a discipline related to WASH with demonstrated skills and technical experience in WASH (hydraulic engineering, design, management, implementation and supervision of civil works, wash facilities, water networks etc.)
Work Experience
· Minimum 10 years’ experience
· Solid professional international field experience at senior level with emergency response experience working in fragile states.
· Health and disease outbreak background highly desired
· Previous first phase emergency response experience highly desired
Key Competencies
· Demonstrated experience and ability in cooperation projects management
· Experience in conflict/post conflict contexts, preferably with experience in supporting emergency
Languages:Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
