BACKGROUND ON THE PROJECT
For this requirement CTG Global is required to provide Foreign Medical Teams (FMT) in support of our clients efforts to control EVD via Sierra Leone Community Care Centres. Staff will be required to provide clinical management functions within Community Care Centres across Sierra Leone.
EVD transmission remains intense in Sierra Leone, there is therefore a continued need for support and response to Ebola outbreaks. Community Care Centres will be embedded in communities and fulfil a central role, enabling patients to present and be tested before transferring to Treatment Units following a positive result. The level of care offered inside the Community Care Centres, while basic, will encourage families to bring loved ones forward for isolation.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate with the field headquarters to provide all logistics and staffing and to create maintenance plans for all infrastructure and ensure consistent follow up. Manage the safe and secure storage of medicines and the ensuring through thorough checks the suitability of prescriptions.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Education
Master’s degree in Pharmacy plus a minimum 5 years practical experience in a community or hospital pharmacy. A project management qualification is desirable.
Work Experience
· Produce regular reports for the Senior Medical Coordinator to include usage of material and drugs, stocks and orders
· Check prescriptions to ensure accuracy and that they are appropriate and safe for the patients
· Ensure safe/secure and appropriate storage of all medicines and complete regular stock takes of all medicines held
· Monitor the medical material and medicines to ensure that there is enough stock on hand and to enable appropriate ordering
· Experience of managing staff and accurate project reporting methodologies
· Previous experience working as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting/clinic
Languages:Fluency in English is required.
