The Overseas Department is responsible for the overall running and management of Development programmes and Field Offices in five distinct regions: South Asia, Africa, South East Asia, the Middle East and Europe. This includes providing leadership and strategic direction, programme design, monitoring, evaluation and resource mobilisation for Muslim Aid’s Development partners and Field Offices.
This role involves providing supervision and effective management support to Muslim Aid Field Offices and partners to deliver high quality, sustainable development programmes in line with the organisational strategic plan, accountability framework and policies and procedures. The key responsibilities of this role will include the provision of relevant technical and management advice and support to ensure Muslim Aid Field Offices are effectively and efficiently implementing, monitoring and evaluating programme activities in compliance with recognised international standards. The Regional programme Manager will be expected to assist the Country Directors in placing Muslim Aid as a key development partner of choice for Governments, NGOs, donors and civil society in their respective countries. Other key responsibilities include supporting country leadership to deliver their Country Strategic Plans and to strengthen the current Muslim Aid due diligence and compliance procedures and ensure their effective use in practice.
For this role you will need a postgraduate qualification in international development or a related field. You will be experienced in international development management, managing projects and have proven experience in building strong relationships at the highest levels with development partners. Excellent project management and strategic planning skills are essential along with knowledge of the mechanics of programme implementation. You must also be able to travel extensively at short notice.
