Emergency Response Personnel (ERP) play a key part with Save the Children’s humanitarian strategy. Members of the ERP scheme are active members of Save the Children’s UK’s humanitarian department, and contribute to organisational learning and help build organisation capacity to respond effectively to emergencies world-wide.
About the role
An ERP Technical Education Adviser will generally be deployed to the field as the lead technical adviser in a small or medium-sized emergency or the 2nd phase of large emergency. The ERP Technical Adviser will be expected to lead on sectoral assessment, programme design and master budgeting, coordination (including the Cluster), and support fundraising, recruitment and procurement liaising and linking with other sectors as appropriate. In most circumstances, the post holder will be expected to mentor and/or capacity build existing country programme staff.
About you
With significant experience working internationally in humanitarian programmes including first phase emergency response, you will ideally be educated to MSc/MA level in a relevant subject or hold equivalent field experience.
You will have experience in leading assessment activities and of designing, managing, monitoring and evaluating education programmes in emergencies for international NGOs. You will be able to apply relevant interagency humanitarian frameworks and standards in education in emergencies (for example INEE Minimum Standards) to the work you complete.

What we offer in return
In return we are offering a salary of GDP32,105 per annum + GDP2,500 hardship allowance. ERPs will receive 35 days Annual Leave per year; medical insurance while on deployment; travel and accommodation provided for; based in home country; paid R&R; Gross salary paid from UK plus hardship allowance; complexity allowance and expensive posting allowance where applicable.
