ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: 
Founded in 1964, International Executive Service Corps (IESC) is a Washington, DC based not-for-profit organization that focuses on private sector growth. It supports and catalyzes the development of private enterprises, business support organizations, financial institutions, and public institutions around the world. Its mission is to focus on improving the lives of people throughout the world by strengthening private enterprise.
ABOUT THE JOB: 
IESC is seeking Technical Directors. S/he will be responsible to work in the areas of agriculture inputs, postharvest handling, private sector development, and agriculture finance for the anticipated USAID-funded Building Liberia’s Value Chains (BLiV) project in Liberia. 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in expanding access and use of agricultural inputs, and post-harvest handling, processing, packaging, and marketing services, broadly applicable to raising incomes for Liberian smallholder farmers (SHF);
  • Support in providing broad support to agriculture development and food security initiatives at the community and national levels, forging innovative partnerships with the private sector, and other non-traditional partners. 
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Development, Agribusiness, Public Policy, Agricultural Economics, or other relevant field required;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in providing technical leadership in areas relating to production and postharvest technology transfers to smallholder farmers;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in private sector agriculture in West Africa;
  • Experience in analyzing and building the capacity of agribusinesses in West Africa, particularly Liberia, to increase involvement of local markets and foster public private partnerships highly preferred;
  • USAID or other donor experience preferred;
  • English fluency required;
  • Liberian nationals strongly encouraged to apply.
