Web Site Designer for Beyond Violence (unpaid-worldwide)

Beyond Violence is centered on a web platform which seeks to engage people across countries and continents in the promotion of non-violent conflict transformation. Through online petitions, forum discussions, digital conferences, and much more, we are impacting decision-makers and key local actors to put down weapons and solve conflict through negotiation and dialogue.
Your responsibilities
- · Designing a new website for Beyond Violence
- · Producing desktop, tablet and mobile displays with an intuitive interface
- · Liaising with the IT team to meet the needs of the organization
- · Working alongside other team managers to meet their needs
- · Producing images in Illustrator or Photoshop with dimensions of each element for a technician to build
- · Managing your time effectively in order to complete your tasks within the hours that you want to contribute (estimated at 10 hours per week).
Our requirements
- · High self-motivation and eagerness to learn.
- · Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- · Strong communication skills
- · Experience with previous web design
- · Readiness to commit 10 hours a week
- · Proactive use of email communication and Skype.
- · Ability to commit sufficient time and energy to our cause.
- · Passion for peace, non-violence, dialogue and understanding.
- · Communicative level of English; knowledge of other languages a plus.
- · Knowledge of CSS a plus
