Community Care Center, Doctor/Program Manager, Liberia

The Community Care Center (CCC), Doctor/Program Manager is responsible to manage and coordinate all CCC activities. This includes assisting in the development and training of CCC staff as well as ongoing oversight once CCCs are functional and running. This will include trainings such as Rapid Isolation and Treatment of Ebola (RITE), where the CCC Doctor/Program Manager will train county health teams (Ministry of Health) on how to isolate possible Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) cases in their county areas, and how to treat them if in fact confirmed with EVD. The CCC Doctor/Program Manager will ensure that the Samaritan’s Purse (SP) training staff have the materials and accurate protocols to teach the health teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Medical degree, board certification and an active medical license are required for this position.
  • Previous experience working abroad, ideally in Africa.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage staff, finances and project activities.
  • Highly motivated; with a desire to work with local communities.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to travel and work in difficult conditions and under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a team and to relate to different sector managers and staff.
  • Flexibility, patience and the ability to perform despite basic and remote living conditions.
4 month contract with the potential for extension.
