Job location: Monrovia, with frequent travelling to the field

Together with the affected communities we work on the recovery of their livelihoods.
ZOA has been present in Liberia since 2003 working in sectors of health, WASH, livelihoods and governance. After the Ebola intervention, ZOA is now focusing on developing a solid WASH program for 2016 while implementing current WASH programs for various donors.
Purpose of the position
The Project Coordinator WASH is responsible for the coordination of the WASH project activities, which focus mainly but not exclusively at ZOA communities, both in urban and rural Liberia. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the complete project cycle of existing WASH activities while identifying funding opportunities ensuring smooth transition into 2016.
Tasks, responsibilities, results
- Project Cycle management, including formulation, budgeting, integration with the broader ebola response planning, writing, monitoring and reporting of the respective WASH project(s);
- Capacity building of project staff and other stakeholders;
- Further development of using mobile data collection systems (KoboCollect / Flow)
- Maintaining relationships with all relevant actors in the WASH cluster/sector; networking
- Supervision and control of the administrative and financial project organisation;
- Participate in country wide programme and knowledge development;
- Communication on progress, e.g. life stories, photos and impact stories for website and donors;
The Project Coordinator is accountable to the Program Manager.
Profile
We expect the candidate to recognize him/herself in the following profile:
Identity
- Being a Christian; adhering to the Christian identity of ZOA;
- The candidate is expected to support the vision and mission of ZOA.
Knowledge
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering or other relevant (WASH related)field;
- Proven expertise with (sustainable) WASH;
- Proven expertise on proposal writing;
- At least three years field experience; one year experience in a management role
- Experience with assessments / KAP surveys;
- Familiar with and experience working with Project Cycle Management
- Good spoken and written command of English
- Knowledge about (manual) drilling technique(s)
- IT savvy, willing to dig deeper into mobile data collection systems (KoboCollect)
- Experience in other African countries knowledge a pre
- Knowledge of Google Earth, MS Access a pre
