The Communications Officer is part of the International Communications Team and also works with staff in Liberia and other Mary’s Meals teams to successfully deliver a wide range of engaging communications content, activities and projects aimed at raising awareness of our programmes in Liberia. Reporting to the Content Development Manager and the Country Director for Liberia, you will apply your considerable creative abilities, can-do attitude and strong aptitude for communications to share the inspiring message of Mary’s Meals throughout the world.
To support the organisation in raising awareness of the simple approach of Mary’s Meals in lifting children in the developing world out of poverty, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the charity’s in-country communications and supporting campaigns.
We’re looking for a person who can build strong relationships with in-country local media and network with established international groups as the organisation continues to expand. A self-motivated individual who is highly resilient, capable of working independently in a very challenging environment, with excellent communication, organisation, prioritisation and time management skills is essential. Degree qualified or equivalent level professional experience with experience of journalism and/or communications is essential.
If you believe you have the relevant experience and skills to make a difference to the lives of thousands of children across the world, we’d love to hear from you.
