Clinical HIV/Aids Systems Strengthening project
Job Summary / Responsibilities:
To provide technical leadership, coordinate technical assistance, and ensure the quality of community-level HIV and TB care and support, as well as clinical-community linkages and referrals, in order to strengthen retention and adherence. To support partners in Sofala, Manica, Tete and Niassa provinces and strengthen their capacity to ensure better clinical-community linkages for HIV and TB care and treatment.
- Provides technical leadership and technical support related to strategies, approaches and provision of HIV and TB/HIV care and support services.
- Works closely with national, provincial, district and site level government counterparts to ensure well-coordinated, comprehensive, high quality HIV and TB/HIV programming.
- Provides and manages direct technical assistance and capacity building to implementing partners regarding guidelines and best practices, focused on strengthening linkages between community and facility based services.
- Develops and revises guidelines and tools related to the implementation of client case management and monitoring of HIV and TB/HIV programs, in close collaboration with government.
- Ensures that HIV and TB/HIV care interventions and operational research meet international standards.
- Supports community based HIV treatment services and strategies to increase retention to HIV care, especially as it relates to PMTCT and pediatric HIV
- Remains informed on current developments in HIV and TB/HIV programming.
Qualifications:
- MD, MPH, MSW or other relevant graduate degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years’ experience.
- Experience in community-level HIV care and support programming in Mozambique.
- Experience providing training and capacity building in facility and community settings.
- Experience with USAID/PEPFAR funded projects preferred.
- Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT).
- Ability to travel within Mozambique.
- Proficiency in both Portuguese and English.
- Mozambican nationals and permanent residents preferred.
