Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Advisor

About us
Save the Children’s origins lie in emergency response, and this has remained central to our work ever since. Our approach integrates our emergency and development work, through the medium of our country programmes. Emergency Response Personnel (ERP) play a key part with Save the Children’s humanitarian strategy. Members of the ERP scheme are active members of Save the Children’s UK’s humanitarian department, and contribute to organisational learning and help build organisation capacity to respond effectively to emergencies world-wide.
About the role
A Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Adviser role will support and enable countries to plan programmes, measure and demonstrate our impact on children. They will help us to be accountable to children and other stake holders by increasing quality and effectiveness. You will guide teams in achieving the best outcome using strategic monitoring whilst evaluating and
About you
You will have substantial experience working internationally in humanitarian and within a complex country programmes in technical M&E management role(s). You must have exceptional communication skills in English, although French, and/or Arabic speakers are encouraged to apply.. You have demonstrated your ability to train/coach international and national staff across various projects. What we offer in return
In return we are offering a salary of GBP 35,275 per annum + GBP2,500 hardship allowance. ERPs will receive 35 days Annual Leave per year; medical insurance while on deployment; travel and accommodation provided for; based in home country; paid R&R; Gross salary paid from UK plus hardship allowance; complexity allowance and expensive posting allowance where applicable.
