REGIONAL AUDIO-VISUAL PRODUCER

Job Profile: The Regional Audio-Visual Producer will join the Nairobi Regional Communication Centre (RCC) and report to the head of the RCC. S/he will work closely with English-speaking ICRC delegations in Africa and with ICRC Geneva Headquarters.

THE KEY Responsibilities:

· The AV Producer actively participates in generating and producing Audio Visual content and material for the media and online platforms (web and social media), from short clips to institutional films, in order to enhance the visibility, understanding and promotion of the ICRC activities and priority issue in Africa. S/he regularly goes to the field to generate footage (filming and/or producing);
· The AV producer defines, develops and budgets AV projects at a regional level in relation with priority issues set out in the institutional strategy, and manages the full production of such projects (concept, script, filming, editing).
· The AV producer draws up a yearly plan of action for AV production and promotion for all AV content, in collaboration with the Public Relations Officer and other media officers, to ensure that the digital material reaches the target audience(s);
· The AV Producer provides coaching, technical advice and support to delegations on AV matters;
· The AV Producer keeps track of audio-visual trends and technology to ensure communication strategies and operating procedures are adapted accordingly.

THE requirements:

· University degree in Communication audio-visual (AV) production, journalism or related field;
· Minimum 5 years’ experience working in AV as a producer or journalist;
· Experience with, and strong knowledge of, video shooting and editing software (Final Cut ProX);
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
· Very good command of English, with excellent oral and writing skills. French an asset.
