About
Founded in 2007, Single Stop harnesses America's most effective anti-poverty tools to create economic mobility for low-income families and individuals. By utilizing technology to create maximum impact at over 100 sites across nine states, Single Stop has connected over one million households with over $3 billion in resources and support. We partner with local organizations and institutions that serve low-income families to provide wraparound services and ensure their clients leverage all the major anti-poverty resources available.
Through a unique combination of innovative technology and programmatic expertise, our approach breaks the cycle of poverty by leveraging existing financial resources with opportunities for education, counseling, training, and support—a powerful recipe for lifelong financial stability. With an understanding that getting out of poverty has a significant impact on health, Single's Stop's approach gives individuals and families the financial supports they need to not only stabilize their lives, but also improve their health and well-being. Single Stop believes that finding things such as low-cost healthcare, nutrition assistance, and financial aid should be as straightforward as purchasing an item from your favorite online store. Inspired by the convenience of consumer-facing programs like Amazon.com and Yelp, Single Stop is currently in the process of piloting a new technology platform that is projected to reach millions of households. We anticipate rolling out the platform in potential markets during the fall of 2016, placing Single Stop’s proven service model on the path to reaching its most ambitious scale yet.
