Senior Manager: Business Planning and Risk
(5-year fixed-term contract)
This position is located in the CEO’s Office. The successful candidate will be required to execute the overall business planning and monitoring processes and ensure alignment to business strategy. In addition, the position will design, evaluate and manage the implementation of the company’s business planning and risk management strategy to mitigate the risks which JOSHCO is exposed to.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Be responsible for strategic business development and planning
• Support and facilitate the departmental level planning
• Develop management capacity to implement Joshco’s business strategy
• Monitor business performance against agreed strategic goals and indicators
• Define, develop and manage the implementation of an organisation-wide risk management strategy
• Project management: Oversee internal audit (manage audit findings relating to performance information)
• Project management: General (project manage the CEO’s special projects)
• Oversee the development and delivery of organisational quarterly performance and Board reports
• Manage the departmental budget.
Minimum requirements:
• Valid Grade 12 certificate
• Relevant tertiary degree
• Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage
• 5 years’ experience at strategic business management level
• Ability to work with a high degree of precision in order to achieve the required performance targets.
