Territory Manager
The Role
Deliver BA Mining’s value proposition to the customer by driving implementation of the strategy in assigned territory
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the EHS agenda
- Foster on going collaboration between Sales Area Business Line Manager and Account Manager
- Ensure that the Territory/Sales Area Business Plan are developed and implemented in collaboration with Sales Area BLMs
- As part of strategy and budgeting develop a Territory resource plan (organization, branches/offices, workshops, stocking points, competence development, talent management, shared services, etc.)
- Drive the agreed strategy and budget through all territories and service activities
- Ensure the business performance of the individual Product Areas / lines within the territory
- Closely follow the execution of the agreed strategy and initiate and implement necessary mitigating actions in co-operation with Sales Area Management team
- Provide leadership with to support functions including Marketing, EHS, Finance, Legal and HR
- Be a BA Mining ambassador (local senior executives, industry associations, mining universities.
- Ensure compliance with BA Mining standard processes and tools
Key Interactions:
- Business Line Manager Equipment provides inputs on Tender support and receive Distributor training and collaborates on Distributor customer complaints management and Distributor Business reviews
- Product Area Director collaborates on S&OP execution and provide approvals for non-standard payment terms
- Technical Service Manager provides support on major technical issues with no resolution.
Your profile
- Degree/Diploma in relevant field, 10 -15 years relevant experience in surface mining and underground mining applications and equipment, including supervisory experience
- Proven Management skills and experience.
- A good understanding of local business conditions in Tanzania.
- Experience in dealing with high level government bureaucracy.
- Financial and Commercial skills with a basic understanding of P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet.
- Knowledge of Sandvik Mining products and awareness of the main players in the business areas in Tanzania.
- Knowledge and Experience of the Aftermarket Business, Parts, Maintenance and Repair Contracts.
- Knowledge of Contract negotiation and Mining Law in Tanzania.
- Must be able to work and behave according to the Sandvik Core Values and polices in all circumstances and business transactions taking into account the social-economic and political environment in Tanzania
- Fairplay, Code of Conduct and Ethics oriented.
